Remarkable for New York city’s skyline, The Brooklyn Bridge! 🙌 This iconic masterpiece, designed by John A. Roebling was the world’s largest bridge at the time of its opening in 1883. What you definitely will do, is? walking the bridge! But we like to share a little extra to it.
Explore the Brooklyn Bridge area
Once you’ve crossed the Bridge, you’ll find yourself in one of the most diverse neighborhoods of Brooklyn, DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) this place lies just beneath the bridge. Dumbo was known as Gairville, an industrial area which comes from the numerous warehouses that still stand today. In the late 1970s, Dumbo was an affordable area with large spaces, many artists came here to settle. Now it is the place to be for artistic expression, cafés, art galleries, and trendy boutiques.
Visit Empire Stores at DUMBO
There is an old warehouse near the waterfront called the Empire Store. It is now used as a building that has shops, restaurants, and offices. It is a beautiful building that is worth visiting if you’re visiting DUMBO. The view from the rooftop overlooking the park, the Bridge, and the skyline is just breathtaking! Inside the building, you will find a large home store, various restaurants, and the Brooklyn Historical Society. You’ll also find the Time-Out Market, a food market that offers dishes from local eateries.

Beyond walking the Brooklyn Bridge and visiting Empire Stores, there are many other activities you can do in this area. You can ride a bike along the path to by the waterfront rr maybe you like to relax in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This place is peaceful with large lawns, waterfront walking paths, sports fields and of course that amazing view of the bridge 😉
